Microsoft to Detail Office Mobile 2010 at TechEd Europe

Redmond-based software giant Microsoft is already known to plan to come to the market with a new flavor of Office Mobile, and it seems that the software giant might deliver an insight into the upcoming version as soon as the TechEd Europe conference will kick off in Berlin. Office Mobile 2010 is one of the versions of Office 2010 that the company has in store for users, besides the Office 2010 client and the Office Web Apps.

Most of you should be already familiar with the fact that Office Mobile is the variant of Office that can be used on Windows Mobile-based handsets, with the latest iteration of the application having been launched in the wild back in 2007. Those who have Office Mobile on their devices can enjoy support for Word, Excel and PowerPoint files, as well as a version of the OneNote note-taking application.

Samsung T539 Beat Review

Launched exactly two years ago, one of the first handsets from the Beat series, Samsung T539 can now be tagged as a low-budget clamshell. At the time of its release, T539 was set to deliver a rich multimedia experience to its users. The design and features clearly suggest that it targets fans of music phones. Surprisingly, Samsung T539 hasn't been discontinued and can still be bought. Thanks to PureMobile, we will be turning back in time and check out what this music phone has to offer and if it's still a viable solution by these days’ standards.
Announced in October 2007, Samsung T539 Beat was made available on the market in the same month. For the moment, the clamshell can be acquired for only 80 USD, but you might have a hard time finding it.

Blackberry Curve 8900 Review

In a world full of Android, Symbian and Windows Mobile, Blackberry launches quietly yet another of its smartphones with QWERTY keyboard – Blackberry Curve 8900. The device bears the Canadian company's trademark when it comes to design and software embedded. Fans will most likely be happy as the gadget is one of the few outed by RIM last year.

After trying its hand on touchscreen smartphones, RIM continues on the same conservative line and announces a new device, which doesn't really come up with anything new in terms of design or features. Thanks to PureMobile, we had the chance to test the BlackBerry Curve 8900, as usual a business smartphone that offers its users a complete email solution for the right price. Don't expect fresh things, as Blackberry Curve 8900 is just a standard reliable smartphone meant for the mid-budget market.

HTC Tattoo Review

The explosion of Android devices manufactured by almost every well-known brand has been impressive lately. For the moment, HTC holds the supremacy over this market, as it already launched a few successful smartphones and also has its own UI for Android devices.

If the Taiwanese company only launched high-end Android smartphones, this time those that wanted to buy one of these phones and didn't have the required budget will be happy to find that HTC decided to cover this part of the mid-budget smartphone market. The new HTC mid-budget device was first rumored as the HTC Click, but was officially announced as HTC Tattoo. The name comes from the fact that owners will be able to change the back cover with some bearing various sketches.

HTC Tattoo was officially announced in September 2009 and will most likely hit the market one month later, in October 2009. The device is available in four different colors: Brown, White, Graphite and Black. HTC hasn't disclosed any information regarding its price, but stated that its target would be the mid-budget market, which means that we should expect much lower prices than its high-end brothers.

Malwarebytes: IObit Stole Our Signatures Database

Malwarebytes accuses Chinese antivirus vendor IObit of stealing its intellectual property and threatens to pursue legal action. Despite the solid evidence presented by Malwarebytes, IObit denies any wrongdoing and plans to respond through its lawyers.

Bing Maps Gets 9,460 Square Kilometer Imagery Update

Microsoft is moving forward with its tradition of releasing massive updates to its mapping, search and location platform. According to the Redmond company, the latest refresh to Bing Maps, formerly referred to as Virtual Earth, introduces an additional 9,460 square kilometers of imagery. Although Microsoft only offered notice of the update in November, the additional imagery that has become available to Bing users worldwide was labeled as the October 2009 update to the service. Chris Pendleton, the Bing Maps Technical Evangelist for Microsoft noted that the imagery update is largely focused on North America and the United Kingdom.

Nokia 6700 classic Review

The new Nokia 6700 handset has been tagged as 'classic' only because of its bar form, but everything else points to an advanced mobile phone with a stylish look. Even though it's just a mid-budget phone and doesn't feature the well-known Symbian OS, Nokia 6700 can be one of the best choices for a businessperson, but only as a 'second phone.'

Sleek and shiny the phone will definitely appeal to all consumer targets that can pay its price. The rightful disciple of the now older Nokia 6300, the new 6700 classic handset strives for the same success on the market.
